In a busy week for the emerging game, Nepal hosts PNG and Malaysia in a tri-series, Tim shares some personnel news from Vanuatu, Nigeria and Oman both hold multi-nation women's tournaments, the Ireland Wolves take on Namibia A in Windhoek, and the Netherlands travel to New Zealand for their Cricket World Cup Super League series.

Tim and Nick are back to review the recently-concluded Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series where hosts UAE picked up 3 wins against the inconsistent Nepal, and strugglers PNG. The pair also discuss the ongoing GCC Women's tournament in Oman, as well as Namibia's domestic Richelieu franchise series and the Ireland Wolves development tour.

With Bes still busy working the women's world cup, Tim and Nick wrap the recently concluded Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series in the UAE involving the hosts and Namibia and Oman. They also look ahead to the next series (now underway) with UAE, Nepal and PNG. Then the news of Michael Rippon's selection for the Dutch team in New Zealand prompts Tim to reminisce about a potential repeat of an incident from 1995. 

The trio are back together and start with a look at the ongoing CWCL2 tri-series in the UAE. Then it's time to take stock of the European Cricket League as it approaches its finals week, before moving on to discuss the MCC's changes to the Laws announced this week.

This week with Bes on Women's World Cup duties, Tim and Nick meet to chat about the upcoming CWCL2 tri-series in the UAE, with the hosts joined by Oman and Namibia, and starting on 5th March. They also discuss some points coming out of Ireland's recent board meeting, and start the show by addressing the Russian invasion of Ukraine and how sports should think about responding to political crises. Then, Nick is joined by Nate Hays for an update on the board elections at USA Cricket, as well as some facilities news from Seattle.

Oman posting their highest ODI score ever only for it to be chased down, plus a thrilling tie? We were treated to some excellent League 2 cricket, if only the man on the mic thought the same. We assess the League 2 state of play and look to the first of two T20 World Cup Qualifiers, with the 'A' tournament beginning next week, also at Al-Amerat.

With Tim and Bes out of action, Nick is joined by EC contributor Tom Grunshaw as they interview UAE men's captain Ahmed Raza to discuss the year gone by and take stock of the game in the Emirates. Raza talks about the challenges of staying sharp in a quiet year for the national team, enthuses about the young prospects coming through men's and women's development pathways, and give his thoughts on how his side could benefit more from the cricket that is often played in the UAE. 

Tom and Nick also chat about the year gone by, and go through some highlights and lowlights from 2021.
